Rats and mice are a threat to all agricultural and food industries as well as being immensely irritating to the home owner. They can cause considerable damage through contamination and through gnawing of electrical wiring. They can also transmit diseases and introduce disease carrying parasites, one rodent can contaminate much more food than it can actually eat.
It is the responsibility of the landowner / occupier to eradicate rats and mice and to avoid conditions that attract them. Regular control will keep rat and mice populations at low levels.
